- According to the DIY Network : Caulking around doors, windows, pipes, cables and vents can save up to 10% in heating and cooling costs. I am working over this weekend on sealing cracks, crevices, doors, and windows. I bought this old house last year and did nothing and my bills were too high!

I love the look of these simple crate benches for an entryway, kids room, or living area. They would make great seating and storage and can be customized with fabric choice to fit into yr decor.

I think this would be a great addition to the DIY life bookshelf here at inspired DIY.
It is a great resource for the DIY person who really wants to green up their home. Nowadays everyone is turning green even if they are an environmentalist or not. We can save energy and money by thinking about what we put into our home and how we run our home. It just makes sense.
I think this would be a great holiday gift for the DIY guy or gal on yr list. I know it seems early, but the holidays will be here before we know it!

Wallpaper has come a long way. I mean most of us have scraped and scraped old garish paper from the past at some point. I spent about two weeks in a 100 year old house with spray bottle and scraper and it almost killed me!
Seriously-wallpaper was pretty ugly for a long time.
Now it is gorgeous and hip again:
